The hottest names in K-pop such as TVXQ, Girls Generation, SHINee and Super Junior gather in Singapore for one night of performances on Nov 23
We were just at the SMTOWN press conference at the glitzy Ritz Carlton hotel, where we saw the hottest names in K-Pop, such as BoA, Super Junior’s Donghae, Seohyun of Girls’ Generation, Onew of SHINee and Yoonho and Changmin from TVXQ.
It’s a night of firsts for this concert, which is the first commercial concert to be staged on The Float @ Marina Bay. What’s more, with a total of 24,000 tickets sold, it is set to be the largest concert our K-Pop loving island has seen in years.
We saw fans braving the thunder, lightning and torrential downpour just to get a glimpse of their favourite celebrities - armed with umbrellas, K-Pop lovers across the nation formed a snaking queue and waited patiently for the concert, which we heard would carry on, be it rain or shine.
The stars, who are all managed by the S.M Entertainment record label, spoke about their excitement to perform together later at the concert because it feels as though they are one big family.
