It looks like Han Ji Min and Park Yoo Chun will finally lock lips in the next episode.
After the end of the April 12 broadcast of SBS’ Rooftop Prince, the preview for the next episode captured the attention of viewers with a scene showing a romantic kiss between Park Ha (Han Ji Min) and Lee Gak (Park Yoo Chun).
During the episode that day, Lee Gak helped Park Ha rediscover her childhood memories and even cancelled his previous appointment with Se Na (Jung Yu Mi) to go on an impromptu trip to Chuncheon with Park Ha. Even though he constantly mentioned her low social standing, he was always there for her when she needed him.
It appears the two are acting more and more like a couple lately, as they have become accustomed to holding each others’ hands while running. It was also heartwarming to see Lee Gak comforting a crying Park Ha in his embrace.
In addition, there was no awkwardness on the bus when Lee Gak let a sleeping Park Ha rest her head on his shoulder. It seemed like their relationship has blossomed with their every moment together.
In particular, the preview shook the hearts of viewers when Park Ha took hold of Lee Gak’s face with her hands and gently kissed him.
Netizens who saw the preview left their comments saying, “Did Han Ji Min take the lead because she was older?” “I’ve never seen a drama that showed the pivotal kiss scene this late,” “Even though [she] is old, Lee Gak is still a married man,” and “He was defenseless and taken advantage of. But I’m still envious of his surprise kiss.”
On the other hand, some thought the kiss scene was more of a mouth-to-mouth resuscitation rather than a romantic kiss.
In the preview, Yong Tae Moo (Lee Tae Sung) accidentally overheard Lee Gak’s difficulty with breathing after having eaten a seasoned crab five months ago and said, “You liked it in the past,” suggesting that the ′kiss scene′ wasn′t a romantic kiss afterall.
Although it was not included in the preview, Lee Gak had an incident after eating a seasoned crab and it could be possible that the ‘kiss scene’ was merely a CPR administration by Park Ha.
However, even if the kiss was just a mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, it was still a ‘gift’ for viewers who anxiously awaited the kiss between the two main characters.
