TVXQ’s Max Changmin has showed his viewers yet another side of endless charm as a ‘variety show-dol’ with ‘passion’ as his greatest weapon.
During the episode of KBS 2TV’s ‘Our Neighborhood’s Master of Variety and Sports’ that aired on the 3rd, Max Changmin, along with the others in the celebrity team, took up the challenge of going against amateur teams in a certain region of Korea. In the process, Max Changmin was able to show that ‘Our Neighborhood’s Master of Variety and Sports’ has already become a big part of his life.
On this day, Max Changmin gave his viewers an insight into his day-to-day life to show how much passion he has been pouring into his upcoming badminton match. This was during the preparations for TVXQ’s concert in Nissan Stadium, a concert that attracted 72,000 each day and made TVXQ the first Korea and non-Japanese singers to hold a concert at the venue.
The star was already physically drained and pressed for time. However, he overcame his weariness and continued to hone his badminton skills whenever he had time to spare. He would take his racket to the concert venue and would even give up precious sleeping time during his busy schedule so he could take badminton lessons. His sincere and passionate attitude to practicing was enough to prove just how much he loves ‘Our Neighborhood’s Master of Variety and Sports’, as well as just how much he doesn’t want to let his teammates down.
Though Max Changmin lost to the amateur team of Hwasoon, the hometown of Olympic gold medalist Lee Young Dae, defeat was never that important when looking back on the preparation and passion he put into the match. However, Max Changmin stayed humble and placed the blame of his team’s defeat on himself as he said, “I felt bad because we couldn’t coordinate together because I was in Japan. Though I took lessons and practiced a lot in Japan, I didn’t do as well as I’d hoped, so I’m very sorry to Jong Soo.”
It has become an undeniable fact that high-ranking representatives, staff, fellow celebrities and viewers all can’t help but trust and love this ‘variety show treasure’ when Max Changmin has such an admirable attitude towards his work.
